The Good Stuff!
Welcome to pdxbiryani.com, home of the Dum Biryani! We are not a typical restaurant although we do cook at a commercially licensed, fully equipped kitchen in downtown Portland, OR. So, in order to get pdxbiryani, you need to pre-order and pick up at lunchtime from our kitchen on Sunday to enjoy our awesome biryani! Why is it so? Our model gives us the freedom to focus our energies on making biryani, the best we can! Our staples are goat, chicken and vegetarian Dum Biryani. We also make other kinds but mostly in a catering type situation or when we do specials.
You may be wondering why? Here's why: Dum Biryani Fans have been long tormented by the assault on good taste and wallets by what has come to be hated as the 'restaurant biryani'! From the ashes of burned expectations and despair arose PDXBiryani, your refuge from curry and rice mixes in the name of biryani! We have been there, searching all over the U.S in vain, for good biryani! Nothing came close, so we took matters into our own hands and did some learning and hit upon our own unique take on the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani.
